The New York Giants fell to 5-10 after collapsing on Sunday, losing 28-27 to the Indianapolis Colts after leading until the final minute of the game.
Here are four takeaways from Sunday’s game.
If you look at the NFL standings the Giants are 5-10, but they sure don’t have the feel of a team with that record. Sunday’s one-point loss may have been their first since 2015, but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been competitive. Seven of their 10 losses have been by seven points or fewer and they have been beaten in the last minute three times.
Conversely, four of their five wins have been by five points or less. They’ve only been involved in four games that were decided by more than seven points. That’s encouraging for next year, but very discouraging as you look back on this season. Losses are losses. They have to learn how to win.
The good part? If the NFL Draft were held today, they’d have the sixth pick.
