Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins hasn’t exactly kept it quiet: he’s entering the 2019 NFL Draft and he wants to be taken at No. 6 overall by the New York Giants.
Yes, Haskins has really been that blunt.
“It would be pretty nice,” Haskins told the New York Post. “I played ‘Madden’ a lot, and was really good running the football. The whole offense was nice. Plaxico , Jeremy Shockey, Eli , Ahmad Bradshaw. I was basically the stats guy from my family. I would know everybody’s height and weight, what college they went to.
“I’ve been a Giants fan for a long time.”
If that is somehow not strong enough evidence to convince you, Haskins took it a step further in a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune.
“I’m hoping for that, too,” Haskins said when told the Giants would be a good landing spot for him.
Still not enough? If you belong in Skeptics Anonymous and still aren’t sold, Haskins is here to sell you. Literally.
The Giants, in case you haven’t heard, may be in the market for a quarterback. Eli Manning is getting up there in years and the time has come to find his heir apparent. Haskins very clearly wants to be that man.
