Eli Manning connects with former Giants favorite like old times

Eli Manning isn’t dwelling over his murky Giants future.

The Big Blue quarterback courted a few of his current teammates, along with one of his all-time favorite targets, to join him at Summit High School for some reps just ahead of the Giants ostensibly selecting his heir at Thursday’s NFL Draft.

A beaming Manning, 38, took the Northern New Jersey field with Saquon Barkley, Sterling Shepard, Corey Coleman and Super Bowl 46-winning teammate Hakeem Nicks. The 31-year-old Nicks hasn’t suited up in an NFL game since a short second stint with the Giants in 2015.

Quarterback coach David Morris, a confidant of Manning since their Ole Miss playing days, captured the video and gushed over the veteran signal caller.

“Seen Eli throw it for almost 20 years,” Morris wrote. “He’s better now than he’s ever been.”

The Giants can only pray that’s the case.
