It goes without saying that the New York Giants are seeking out talented players to augment their roster this coming offseason. Last spring, in general manager Dave Gettleman’s first season, they usurped their roster to the tune of some 70%, adding the type players Gettleman wants to see in Blue.

Here’s 10 free agents the Giants could be interested in come March. Most of them are on defense as that is where the strength of the market lies this spring and that is also where the Giants need the most upgrading.

The Cowboys used the franchise tag on Lawrence this past season and have the option to exercise it again if they can’t come to terms on a multi-year deal with their star pass rusher. If they don’t and Lawrence hits the market, the Giants have to put a full court press on trying to sign him.

The former second-rounder out of Boise State has racked up 25 sacks over the past two seasons and the Giants know up close how disruptive Lawrence can be. The only issue is where to play him. The Cowboys use a 4-3 alignment, while the Giants lean mostly towards a 3-4.
