The Giants will have long snapper Colin Holba back, according to The New York Post.
Holba, 25, appeared in five games for the Giants last season. He was signed off the team’s practice squad in November, replacing the injured Zak DeOssie. When signing to the 53-man roster, Holba signed a two-year deal, not a one-year contract, as first anticipated.
Holba will be restricted free agent after the 2020 season. DeOssie, who’s been with the Giants since 2007, is slated to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
Holba was a sixth-round pick of the Steelers in 2017, but was among their final cuts in his rookie season. Holba jumped to the Jaguars that same year and played for the 49ers in 2018 and was briefly on their roster in 2019.
The long snapper was actually drafted in the XFL Draft in October, but latched on to the Giants in November.
