With the 2018 season officially concluded with another Super Bowl title going to the New England Patriots, the New York Giants will enter this offseason looking to get back on track.
The needs are many spread out across both sides of the ball. The Giants are far from being considered contenders for the upcoming season, and it shows in Bovada’s opening odds to win Super Bowl 54 where Big Blue was given 50/1 odds to win the title game.
Betting agencies and sportsbooks across the country will differ in their opening odds to win the next Super Bowl, but most of them are the same for the Giants, who find themselves near the bottom of the pack.
There are several areas the Giants need to address throughout the offseason. From finding Eli Manning’s potential successor to upgrading the offensive line to adding talent to all three levels of the defense, there are few positions the Giants don’t need to add to.
Whether those additions come via free agency, the 2019 NFL Draft or a combination of the two, general manager Dave Gettleman will have his plate full in addressing the team needs in his second offseason running the team.
Coming off of a 5-11 season, the Giants have much work to be done, and it shows in their opening odds to win Super Bowl 54.
