Dave Gettleman didn’t bother waiting.
The Giants general manager addressed the ever-present Odell Beckham Jr. trade rumors before reporters even asked him about them at the NFL scouting combine.
“We didn’t sign Odell to trade him,” Gettleman said. “That’s all I need to say about that.”
Those comments are nearly identical to the ones he made after last season. That, as well as a five-year, $95 million extension signed last August, has done little to quell the constant speculation around the star receiver.
The latest came when Fox Sports insider Jay Glazer made a “bold prediction” that the Giants would deal Beckham this offseason.
Beckham had 77 catches for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns last season before missing the final three games with a quad injury.
