Giants Injury Report: TE Evan Engram, LB B.J. Goodson vs. Bears

The Giants will be without two key cogs when they face off against the Bears on Sunday.

Tight end Evan Engram will miss his second straight game, as he continues to battle a hamstring injury. He originally suffered the injury during warmups last Sunday when the Giants took on the Eagles. He stayed on the sideline dressed in full uniform, but never took a snap.

Now, Engram will be in street clothes as the Giants continue their caution. It has been a tough sophomore campaign for No. 88, with this being his fifth game missed. He suffered an MCL sprain during the Giants’ Week 3 matchup against the Texans that kept him out three straight games.

The 2017 first-rounder has totaled 23 receptions for 257 yards and two touchdowns over seven games this season.

Also, LB BJ Goodson will miss his first game of the season with a neck injury. Though he was a limited practice participant today, the Giants are showing caution with him as well. Over 11 games, Goodson has tallied 39 combined tackles, 0.5 sacks, and two interceptions on the year.

The only other blip on the Giants’ roster is LB Lorenzo Carter, who is listed as questionable with a hip ailment. The rookie was a limited participant at practice as well.

For the Bears, there were no players officially deemed out at the moment. DT Akiem and DT Bilal Nichols were both full practice participants today.

It was reported earlier that QB Chase Daniel will start in place of Mitchell Trubisky, who continues to nurse a shoulder injury.
