Good morning, New York Giants fans!
The picture when it comes to Rosen and the Giants is about as clear as mud, and Ralph Vacchiano’s report does little to clear it up.
Vacchiano said the Giants have “discussed the possibility” of trading for Rosen, that “don’t even seem sure at the moment whether they’d prefer Rosen” to anyone in the 2019 draft class and that they “have no idea” if the Arizona Cardinals will actually draft Kyler Murray and make Rosen available.
Arizona coach Kliff Kingsbury didn’t offer any clarity at the NFL owners meetings.
Kingsbury praised Murray, saying he was “one of the better dual-threat players to ever play.” He also, though, said Rosen is “a tremendous player” who can “throw it with anybody” and added the Cardinals had not yet made a decision.
We recently looked at the potential fit between Rosen and the Giants. The anticipated price tag seems to be a second-round pick, and if that holds true a Rosen deal would have to tempt the Giants. It would give them the opportunity to use both of their first-round picks on players who should contribute immediately.
No, Peppers is “not a suspect in any investigation, only a victim of theft,” per Cleveland police.
Giants statement on Jabrill Peppers: “We are aware of the situation in Cleveland. The NFL has been aware of this situation for some time. Jabrill is not the subject of an investigation by the Cleveland Police Department. For confirmation, see tweets from @CLEpolice.”

Duke coach David Cutcliffe knows the relationship between Daniel Jones and Eli Manning.
“We’ve laughed about it a little bit,” Cutcliffe said of conversations with the Giants quarterback. “Eli obviously doesn’t know what the Giants are going to do with their plans, but he loves Daniel. He’s been here every year that Daniel’s been here working out with his guys. Daniel follows him around like you would follow Mother Goose. He goes to the Manning Passing Academy every summer, so I think that would be a great fit. But what I think is unimportant at this point.”
