Saquon Barkley ran all over the Buccaneers during the Giants’ Week 11 win, and now he has an award to show for it.
Barkley, who rushed 27 times for a career-high 142 yards and two touchdowns on the ground (adding a 10-yard touchdown reception for good measure), has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Sunday was Barkley’s third 100-yard rushing game of the season, bringing his total to 728 yards on 158 attempts to go along with seven touchdowns.
The 21-year-old rookie, who has reached 100 all purpose yards in 9 of the Giants’ 10 games, has hauled in 64 catches for 540 yards and three touchdowns.
He has a long way to go, but the early returns for Barkley — who has been running behind a brutal offensive line for most of the season — have been incredible.
