Giants rookie QB Kyle Lauletta’ court date pushed back yet again

Giants rookie backup QB Kyle Lauletta saw his court date for his arrest in October postponed yet again.

Lauletta was supposed to appear in court on Thursday, but it was adjourned and rescheduled to Dec. 11 at Hudson County Superior Court, per’s Art Stapleton

The 23-year-old was arrested back on Oct. 30 after allegedly almost striking a cop with his vehicle while making an illegal turn in Weehawken, NJ on his way to practice. He was charged with reckless driving, disregarding an officer’s directions, improper turn in marked traffic lane and failure to remain in a marked lane.

And on top of that, Lauletta was charged with obstructing administration of law and resisting arrest.

Lauletta addressed his lack of judgment at the time saying it was “a terrible representation of who I am and what I stand for.” And clearly the Giants agreed as they didn’t suspend him, with head coach Pat Shurmur saying “we have internal ways of handling it.”

Lauletta dressed for the first time this season in the Giants’ victory over the Bears last Sunday, and he could very well be in pads for the rest of the season as well. The Giants would obviously like to see him in regular-season action, something they didn’t achieve last season with Davis Webb

However, SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano learned the Giants won’t give Lauletta that time until the team is officially eliminated from the playoffs
