The New York Giants (5-10) host the Dallas Cowboys (9-6) in a Week 17 NFC East showdown at MetLife Stadium  that has surprisingly has zero postseason implications for either team,

In addition to that, here are six things to know as the weekend approaches.

Big Blue will log in their fifth losing season over the past six years. Since finishing 9-7 back in 2012, the Giants have gone 38-57 with their only winning season being the 11-5 finish in 2016.

This is the Giants’ longest period of ineptitude since they had just one winning season (9-7 in 1981) between 1973-1983.

On the upside, they are currently 27th in the NFL hierarchy, meaning they’d pick sixth overall in the NFL Draft order if the season ended today. The Giants can naturally move up even further with a loss to the Cowboys in the season finale.
