Your second half open thread.
It is difficult to tell what was worse Sunday afternoon, the weather in MetLife stadium, or the Giants’ play.
After winning four of their last five games following their Week 9 bye, the Giants are sitting at 5-8 on the season. However, the team that took the field Sunday afternoon bore a much greater resemblance to the squad which started the season 1-7.
It is cold, windy, and rainy in the Meadowlands, but the Titans didn’t seem to notice, largely doing what they pleased on the offensive side of the ball. The Giants’ continued lack of discipline showed itself in repeated loss of contain and some truly atrocious tackling.
On the other side of the ball, the Giants were able to hit a couple big plays but the offensive line had repeated breakdowns in both pass protection and run blocking. While Manning had a few plays in which he had the time to look down the field, there were also several in which he had to bail out his offensive line.
But despite all that, the Giants are only down by a touchdown, thanks to a missed field goal on the Titans first drive of the game.
Tennessee’s Derrick Henry ran for 127 yards on 21 first-half carries.
The Giants will get the ball to start the second half.
