Jason Pierre-Paul After Sacking Eli Manning: ‘Get Up, Man. Stop Falling.’
Former New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul had some jokes for former teammate Eli Manning.
Jason Pierre-Paul made his return to MetLife stadium on Sunday for the first time since being traded to the Buccaneers back in March.
And after the game, he had some jokes for his former teammate, Eli Manning:
“I was telling him, ‘Get up, man. Stop falling,’” Pierre-Paul said via the Tampa Bay Times.
“I was just helping him up because that was my old teammate and I ain’t trying to hurt him. I’m just playing football.”
Although the Buccaneers lost on Sunday, 38-35, Pierre-Paul took Manning down 1.5 times.
The former Giant now has 9.5 sacks on the season as his former team continues to struggle getting after the quarterback.
As a team, the Giants have taken down the quarterback only 11 times this season.
Earlier in the week, he told the media he was disappointed that co-owner John Mara didn’t reach out and talk to him over the phone after being traded.
So, it looks like he got some of his frustration out with a strong performance on Sunday.
