In early February, FOX Sports insider Jay Glazer was asked to make several bold predictions ahead of the start of the new league year, and one of those predictions sent the football world into an absolutely tizzy.

Despite the potentially messy financials, Glazer predicted the New York Giants would finally pull the plug and trade away wide receiver Odell Beckham.

“I predict Odell Beckham Jr. gets traded this off-season. I think that’s bold enough,” Glazer said via The Athletic.

In the aftermath of those two tiny sentences, trade speculation erupted and the narrative that Beckham is a “selfish player” once again began making the rounds.

An angry Beckham responded to the trade rumors and character questioning via social media, pointing out that he only cares about winning and is tired of hearing all the noise from the outside.

Meanwhile, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman has remained firm in his stance that Beckham will not be dealt.

“We didn’t sign him to trade him, if that’s what you’re asking,” Gettleman said in January before quipping once again at the repeated questioning. “You heard what I said.”

But none of that has swayed Glazer, who doubled-down on his prediction earlier this week.

“Oh, and no, I’m not walking my bold prediction back, not one inch! Does it happen? A lot has to materialize for it to take place but out of principle I’m not walking a damn thing back,” Glazer said via The Athletic.

Glazer is apparently feeling confident in this prediction, so might he know something others do not? Or is he just digging in now that such a ruckus has been created? Time will tell.
