According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, safety Landon Collins might have played his last game with the New York Giants.
Garafolo adds that it is “reasonable” and a “possibility” that Collins has season-ending surgery.
The fourth-year safety injured his shoulder on Sunday vs the Chicago Bears.
After X-Rays revealed nothing damaging, it was expected that he would just have to deal with soreness moving forward.
But after being ruled out on Tuesday for the team’s upcoming matchup vs the Washington Redskins, it seems much more serious than originally expected.
Reports earlier in the year indicated that the team was willing to give Collins, who is a free agent at the end of the season, the franchise tag this offseason.
But this injury certainly makes that situation much more interesting, as reported by Garafolo.
