Here’s the latest in regard to Alec Ogeltree’s future with the New York Giants
According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, he believes the Giants are “committed” to Alec Ogletree through next season.
Raanan adds that Ogletree’s “big bonus” ($7 million) from last March (which was converted to a signing bonus) is a legitimate reason for them wanting to give him another year.
As they try and get their money’s worth.
The Giants gave up a fourth-round and a sixth-round pick for Ogletree when they acquired him from the Los Angeles Rams.
They also took on his enormous contract.
He has a cap hit of at least $10.75 million in each of the next three seasons.
Considering his ranking as the 77th best player at his position this season, according to Pro Football Focus, you could understand why this topic is being brought up.
Especially with B.J. Goodson getting paid 1/10 of what Ogletree makes and grading out better (52nd at his position) than him.
