On Day 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft, New York Giants legends Carl Banks and David Tyree will announce the team’s picks.
Having team alumni announce Day 2 and sometimes Day 3 picks has become a staple of the NFL Draft and an event many fans look forward to. But the Giants aren’t stopping at Day 2 this year.
On the final day of the three-day extravaganza, the Giants will have children from the Monroe, New Jersey Make-A-Wish Castle announce their picks.
Here’s a little more about Make-A-Wish New Jersey and their castle:
Each day Make-A-Wish® New Jersey creates life-changing wishes for children battling critical illnesses in the Garden State. We believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides us in everything we do. It inspires us to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids we serve.
Since 1983, Make-A-Wish New Jersey has brought hope, strength and joy to more than 10,000 seriously-ill children throughout all 21 counties in every city, town, and municipality in the Garden State.
The Wishing Place is the only one of its kind. It provides an environment that is free of limitations, confinement, and stress. It stimulates the imagination and reveals to seriously-ill children the imaginative possibilities of a wish.
The decision to have those children announce the Day 3 picks is a classy gesture by the Giants and one that should not be overlooked. Well done.
