April 25, 7:09 PM:
As the Redskins sniff around about trading down to take a QB, Sam Farmer of the Los Angeles Times reports that Redskins PR head Tony Wyllie is in Nashville, which Farmer suggests is “unusual” for a team with a pick as low No. 15 — indicating a trade could be in the works. Farmer notes that while there has been lots of talk linking Washington to Dwayne Haskins, his guess is that they would take Daniel Jones.
April 25, 5:12 PM: NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt said he wouldn’t be surprised if the Giants strayed away from a quarterback in the first round, stayed where they are at No. 6 and No. 17 to take a defenisve and offensive lineman. Those are both two obvious needs for the Giants.
As Ralph Vacchiano pointed out, Brandt is a big fan of Duke QB Daniel Jones, who the Giants have been increasingly linked to in the coming hours of the Draft. Brandt had rated Jones his 17th-best prospect this year. Will that be a coincidence?
April 25, 3:34 PM: SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano has been hearing speculation of the Giants potentially trading back in to the end of the first round to target West Virginia QB Will Grier or NC State QB Ryan Finley. Vacchiano doesn’t think the team likes Finley all that much, so Grier would be his best bet.
The Giants could very well get their quarterback of the future tonight, but would it be smart to trade back from presumably No. 17 for someone later in the draft? Draft capital is key for teams, so it can’t be ruled out.
April 25, 2:39 PM:
The Redskins, who have the No. 15 pick, are reportedly indecisive about which QB they’re planning to take — or whether they’ll take one at all with their first selection. According to ESPN’s Diana Russini, Washington owner Dan Snyder is “fixated” on Dwayne Haskins, but there is also a case being made elsewhere in the organization for Daniel Jones.
April 25, 12:21 PM:
The Raiders, who own the No. 4 pick, have reportedly moved quarterback Dwayne Haskins up on their draft board hours before the draft begins, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport. Though Derek Carr is under contract for four more seasons, Haskins impressed the Raiders brass during workouts.
April 22, 1:43 PM:
Haskins told the NFL Network on Monday that he had lunch with Eli Manning during his official visit with the Giants. The two spoke about how Haskins, a New Jersey native, watched Manning growing up but they did not speak about potentially being teammates.
Earlier on Monday, ESPN NFL Draft analyst Todd McShay said there’s a chance the Ohio State quarterback could fall in the first round and be available for the Giants at their second first-round pick, No. 17. But McShay doesn’t believe the Giants want Haskins, even if he falls that far.

ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper strongly believes the Giants will have a quarterback by the end of the first round of the draft on Thursday night.
