NY Giants: The Latest On Kyle Lauletta’s Potential Debut

Here’s the latest on Kyle Lauletta’s potential debut for the NY Giants.

According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, Kyle Lauletta won’t make his debut for the Giants until they are “completely out of [playoff] contention.”

The Giants play the Philadelphia Eagles this week with a chance to make up some ground in the NFC East.

Sitting at 3-7, the Giants would have to leapfrog three teams in order to take control of the division.

The Redskins currently lead the division with a record of 6-4 but they recently lost their starting quarterback, Alex Smith, for the season.

And with the Eagles (4-6) and Dallas Cowboys (5-5) being inconsistent, the Giants could stay in the race for a few more weeks, especially, if they win on Sunday.

Raanan also adds that players are fond of Lauletta and want to see him play.

He’s also reporting that players in the locker room don’t believe that current starter, Eli Manning, can take them where they need to be (the playoffs).

Manning has played well over the last two weeks (five touchdowns, zero interceptions) but he threw just eight touchdowns in the first eight games, leading to a record of 1-7 in the first half of the season.

A few wins in the coming weeks could seriously delay Lauletta’s professional debut.
