Quad injury will keep him out for second straight week
The New York Giants will be without star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. once again on Sunday. Beckham, who also missed last Sunday’s game vs. the Washington Redskins, has been ruled out of this weekend’s game vs. the Tennessee Titans due to his lingering quad issue.
Per Art Stapleton, coach Pat Shurmur said “No setbacks. He just can’t go.” Shurmur also apparently referred to Beckham as day-to-day.
Beckham originally injured the quad when he was kicked on the final play of the Week 12 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He sought a second opinion this week. Beckham did not practice Thursday or Friday.
The quad injury has been referred to as a bruise, but appears to be more severe than a simple bruise.
Shurmur reportedly said that no determination has yet been made on Beckham’s status for the final two games of the season.
