After signing three members of their rookie draft class and a handful of undrafted free agents, the New York Giants needed to make room on their roster, which meant parting ways with a few players.
One of those players was wide receiver and return specialist Jawill Davis, who was waived in a flurry of recent roster moves.
But it didn’t take long for Davis to find a new home as he was claimed off of waivers by the Green Bay Packers, reports NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Davis, who originally signed with the Giants as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2018, appeared in seven games last season, hauling in four receptions for 40 yards, returning seven kickoffs for 171 yards and 12 punts for 89 yards.
Davis ended his rookie season on injured reserve (IR) after dislocating his knee cap.
