The Browns signed Brown was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado following the 2020 NFL Draft. Brown started his college career at Texas Tech before transferring to Colorado in 2017. He had the best year of his collegiate career in 2019 with 56 receptions for 707 yards and 5 touchdowns, as well as an honorable All-Pac 10 mention.
Brown has solid size at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds and fairly average measurables.
Brown seems to be a reliable receiver who put up similar numbers to much more highly touted teammate Laviska Shenault, who had 56 receptions for 764 yards and 4 touchdowns (as well as 23 carries for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns). Interestingly, Brown saw his catch percentage increase from roughly 50 percent at Texas Tech to nearly 80 percent as a senior.
This might not be the Giants’ final roster move of the day, as we also learned Saturday that the Dallas Cowboys have released kicker Kai Forbath. We’ve been tracking the uncertainty around the Giants’ kicker position, and we’ll keep you up to date on any moves regarding Graham Gano, Forbath, or any other kicker the Giants might bring in.
