On Day 3 of the 2019 NFL Draft, the New York Giants sent several of their stars to Monroe, New Jersey where they announced picks from the Make-A-Wish Castle.

However, the Giants didn’t limit their Make-A-Wish involvement to just those selections.

During the team’s Draft Day Party at the Wish New Jersey facility, 14-year-old Jared was called up on the stage and asked what his wish was. Without hesitation, he responded with, “meet Saquon Barkley.”

Wish granted.

“I don’t want you to just be able to meet me,” Barkley said. “I’ve already got something planned out on your whole day. Whatever you want to do, go to Six Flags, whatever you dream of, me and you, just go have fun.”

To fulfill his wish, the Giants and Barkley will host Jared for an “exciting weekend with the team at a practice and home game – a VIP treatment the Giants have continued to provide to wish children like Jared for years,” reports MonroeNow.

“Our special relationship with the New York Football Giants has always been one we hold in the highest regard,” said Tom Weatherall, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish New Jersey. “Simply put, they have long set the bar for excellence when called upon to grant wishes. The Giants have always been there for us and for our mission, and we are honored to call them our friends. Our wish families were thrilled to be part of today’s festivities, and to welcome Big Blue back to the castle.”

In addition to Barkley, Evan Engram, Nate Solder, Will Hernandez and Chad Wheeler also attended the event and spend time with Make-A-Wish kids.
