The Giants are bolstering their secondary in the 2019 NFL Draft. First, it was Georgia CB DeAndre Baker that Big Blue traded back into the first round to grab at No. 30. Now, on Day 3, they added Notre Dame CB Julian Love in the fourth round.
Standing at 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Love is a tad undersized for his position, but his coverage skills are undeniable. A three-year starter for the Irish, Love was a key cog in the secondary and believes he can bring his physical style of play to the Giants next season.
“I think I’m a pretty physical player, I don’t shy away from contact at all,” he told reporters after getting drafted. “If anything, I show a lot of effort, I’m a smart player and I make plays. That’s what I’ve done my whole life and I’m excited to do that going forward. I’m just going to continue to be a playmaker. “
