WATCH: Landon Collins backs Eli Manning as Hall of Famer, dishes on snowy commute

Landon Collins believes Jerry Rice dropped the ball on this one.

The Giants safety disagreed with the Hall of Fame wide receiver, who said on Monday that Eli Manning is not a Hall of Fame quarterback.

“Everybody has their opinions, honestly,” Collins said. “Eli Manning has done a lot of great things. Jerry Rice has done a lot of great, great things. … He sees something different from what we see and I know what I see. To me, I think Eli is gonna be a Hall of Famer.”

Rice argued that Manning has been too inconsistent throughout his career and compared the Giants quarterback to Drew Brees.

“Yes, he has two Super Bowls, but then you look at Drew Brees and what he has accomplished and all of that,” Rice said. “I think in yardage now he’s the leader. He’s doing great things for that team, and that team is getting better as they go. You can tell he’s a great leader and he makes everybody around him better.

“So, I would think that Drew Brees is going to be a shoo-in. Eli? There’s a chance of him getting in, but I’m not going to say he’s a true Hall of Famer.”
