Odell Beckham Jr. put on a show Sunday during the Giants’ 38-35 victory over the Buccaneers, at the expense of Tampa Bay’s former defensive tackle, Warren Sapp.
After mimicking the Hall of Famer with his touchdown celebration, hopping on two feet in the end zone, Beckham revealed the motivation behind the curious move.
“I heard Warren was talking bad about me or something. Somebody told me,” the Giants’ lightning rod explained. “I don’t know what he said or anything like that, so I had to give him a little love. When people hate on you, have to give them a little love.”
Sapp, who was enshrined in Canton in 2013, questioned Beckham’s greatness during a five-part interview with Vlad TV two weeks ago, saying, “I beg anybody to show me the greatness in him.”
Beckham had four receptions for 74 yards and one touchdown Sunday at MetLife, contributing to Big Blue’s two-game winning streak.
